Piece of Work - TV Summer Multicam Project
-
For this project on the NFTS Motion Graphics course, we collaborated with the 1st year Directing and Producing TV students to provide graphics for their TV shows.
The show I worked on was Piece of Work, a show focused on making fun of work and the process and mechanisms within it. The show’s producer, Rex Munson, and director Zoë Pauliks, wanted an anti-establishment aesthetic to the graphics and the messaging to essentially be, “F*** work!”
I collaborated with another designer on the course, Supriya Tirkey to deliver these. I took the creative lead in terms of the design of the logo and its implementation (VP wall, etc) and animated the title sequence, transition sting and name lower thirds whilst she focused on the stings between rounds.
Most of the assets were made in Photoshop and Illustrator, plus some real life arts and crafts and the animation was done in After Effects.
ENJOY!

First draft of the logo - I made it from finding the letters in newspapers and leaflets. I really wanted the embrace the punk feel that the team wanted.
